Life can get hectic, and it’s easy to overlook the things that keep you healthy, happy, and fulfilled. This post provides simple, practical tips to ensure you’re covering all the essentials for feeling your best. Think of it as a “recipe” for health and wellbeing, and these are the key ingredients you need!
1. Eat 3 meals per day, ensuring they’re balanced and based on wholefoods.
2. Eat 100-120g of protein per day.
3. Make sure you’re eating 30+ different plant foods per week. This includes vegetables, fruit, nuts, seeds, legumes, wholegrains, herbs & spices.
4. Make sure to include 30-60 minutes of movement per day. Pick what you enjoy as that’s what you’ll stay consistent with!
5. Include 3 resistance training sessions per week. This can be in the gym, at a workout class, or at home.
6. Drink 2L of water per day. Add lemon juice and/ or fresh herbs to make reaching this easier.
7. Sleep for 7-9 hours per night. Avoid screens before bed to make this easier.
8. Make sure to get some daily sunshine. Even 10 minutes is great!
9. Get outdoors! Go to the beach, the park, or for a nature walk.
10. Cold showers and Saunas are great ways to regulate your nervous system.
11. Make connection and catching up with friends and family a priority. When you’re happy, everything else will feel so much easier!
12. Take time to relax, whether that means reading, getting a massage, or a leisurely stroll. Even better, take a complete break by booking a weekend away or saving up for a holiday!
