Smart Nutrition

Prebiotics support a healthy gut microbiome. Your gut microbiome includes trillions (YES TRILLIONS!!) of bacteria in your gut.

I like to describe your gut microbiome as a flower garden… You want a pretty diverse range of flowers but if you don’t feed, nurture and fertilize the flowers, the weeds start to grow (aka. The BAD bacteria).

The graphics below display some examples of good prebiotic sources. However, so long as you are eating a range of vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, legumes, wholegrains, herbs and spices, you will feed the good bacteria in your gut, so both you and your “garden” will thrive 🙂
